Eligibility Criteria

Applicants from Hong Kong

All Hong Kong applicants apply through the UWC Scholarship Scheme to any of the residential UWC Schools and Colleges, which are situated in Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Swaziland, Tanzania, Thailand, UK and USA, and of course, here in Hong Kong.

To qualify as a Hong Kong applicant, you will need: 

  1. To hold a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card or dependent visa; and
  2. To be currently studying in Secondary 4 (or its equivalent) as at September in the year of application. 

Please note that some overseas UWC schools and colleges have a minimum age requirement.

If you do not hold a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card or dependent visa and are interested in applying to any UWC schools and colleges, please contact the Admissions Office at 2640 0441 or admissions@lpcuwc.edu.hk.

Note to Eligible Hong Kong applicants who are currently overseas

Alternatives could be made for applicants who are unable be present during the selection stage if they are currently studying or living abroad. Please detail the current situation on the application form or contact the Admission Office at admissions@lpcuwc.edu.hk.

Applicants from Mainland China

All applicants from Mainland China should contact the UWC National Committee of China at info@cn.uwc.org for application details or visit their website www.uwcchina.org.

Applicants outside of China and Hong Kong

All students living outside Hong Kong should apply via their UWC National Committees. There are UWC National Committees in over 147 countries that are responsible for selecting prospective UWC students.
