Welcome to the UWCHK Online Application - 2021 Entry

Thank you for your interest in making an application to 18 UWCs through UWC Hong Kong, including Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong.

The UWC movement seeks students who want to become change-makers for a better world - no matter their socio-economic, religious, national, ethnic or cultural background. To qualify as an applicant through UWCHK, you will need:
a) To hold a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card or dependent visa; and
b) To be currently studying in Secondary 4 / Secondary 5 (or its equivalent) as at September 2020.

Please note that some overseas UWC schools and colleges have a minimum age requirement.

It is anticipated that for 2021 entry there will be approximately 60 scholarship places available to overseas UWC schools and colleges and to LPCUWC.

First Round Application Cycle: 20 July 2020 - 4 October 2020
Second Round Application Cycle: 5 October 2020 - 15 November 2020
Third Round Application Cycle: 16 November 2020 - Rolling

For 2021 intake, we will be receiving applications in multiple rounds. Students who submit a full application form by the First Round deadline of 4 October 2020 will be considered first. Applications completed after the Second Round deadline of 15 November 2020 will be considered on a rolling (first-come first-served) basis. Students are encouraged to submit their complete applications as soon as possible.

A complete application includes:

  • Application Form
  • Parent Statement - to be completed by parents
  • Recommendation Form - to be completed online by references who knows you well but are not your relatives or friends. They could be your school teachers, coaches or trainers for outside school activities.
  • Last 2 year school reports  
  • HKID and passport copies
  • A passport-size photo

Important for 2021 entry application! 

Please make sure you register for an account on the application platform. This will be your primary source of receiving notifications form the selection committee throughout the application process.     

Applicants are advised to submit their applications ahead of the deadline to avoid heavy internet traffic near the deadline closing time (i.e. close to midnight) which might result in applications not saving fully.
